Executive Chef Randall Baldwin

Artisan Restaurant, one of Snowmass Village's most popular dining venues, lures the seasoned culinary talents of Randall Baldwin in his new role as Executive Chef. Chef Baldwin will oversee all of the back of the house culinary operations at the 93-room hotel in Snowmass Village's picturesque mountain village. "The Artisan culinary team will continue to focus on the strong connection with the local community, by providing high quality cuisine in Snowmass Village. We will retain a select few classic dishes while incorporating a new array of Chef Randall's signature items," said Steve Santomo, general manager for Destination Resorts Snowmass. "As well, in keeping with our vibrant mountain lifestyle, the menu will incorporate locally sourced classic and modern flavor combinations."Baldwin joins the Artisan from the Sage Restaurant at the Snowmass Club. A graduate of The Art Institute of Colorado (Culinary Arts Department), Baldwin honed his skills as executive chef at some of Aspen's finest restaurants including The Motherlode, Takah Sushi, Maroon Creek Club and the Limelight. A native of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Chef Baldwin's Colorado roots and use of fresh local ingredients are showcased through his handcrafted, adventurous, sustainable cuisine. Having grown up working in the kitchen of his family's restaurant, Chef Baldwin knew early on that he wanted to pursue a culinary career. Baldwin believes in using fresh, simple, local ingredients - Colorado-grown beef, cheeses, and vegetables accent his dishes by blending global contemporary cuisine with traditional local favorites. Chef Baldwin will be using a modern approach to the cuisine and will be incorporating more vegetarian and healthy options for diners including gluten free options.

Some nights this place is busting at the seams, and others it appears to be a hidden treasure. The food is dependable and delicious, not pricey, has a great bar and is one of the favorites of most locals I know. Also has a cozy, ski country atmosphere.
