Very good fine dining. Spacious restaurant. modern decor. very pricy for snowmass but the quality of the food was excellent. BTW, for locals, eat at the bar - very reasonable and the same creative and tasty food/ingredients.

Restaurant was very nice. Service was pretty bad and considering we were the only other table, that says a lot. Ordered a martini, soup de jour, salad and my husband had the burger. Was served my soup which was supposed to be lental and it was sooo gritty that I couldn't eat it. Then got my martini and never saw our waitress again. Told the bus boy about the soup but he didn't understand what we were talking about. The salad and burger were OK. Would have liked another martini but again never saw our waitress and $60 later was very disappointed in this restaurant. Will not go back!

The 8K restaurant at Viceroy is awesome! Such a cool bar and lounger area to have drinks at after skiing or before dinner. Nice double-sided fire place makes you feel warm and cozy! The food was fabulous! I had the lamb and it was pretty much perfect (especially for Colorado). My fiance had the truffle pasta because she is vegetarian and said it was wonderful. The service was fast and friendly. The restaurant GM (Thomas) was very knowledgeable about wine and also provided great friendly service. Besides all of the great food and service, the bill was relatively inexpensive ($110 for 2 + wine)! I can't wait to come back!

This is a treat for us land-locked residents who never get to the big city... the decor and design is amazing - a circular glass gas fireplace, LONG bar with blue light, hip fixtures, subdued lighting. Plus the hotel resort is SPACIOUS and NEW! Wow. The food is eclectic but quickly assimilated. The menu is like a version of tapas: S M L size dishes that can be shared (if you wish). The BAR menu is great (try the edamame and Colorado artisanal cheese plate!). The BAR drinks are varied and sophisticated - yet reasonably priced. Try the WITBIER (White Beer) from Belgium, and more! Plus valet parking free for 2 hours... Next stop, the hotel and spa!
