Restaurant Description Located in the popular Elk Camp area. This Aspen Snowmass on mountain ski Restaurant is at the top of the Gondola bottom of Elk Camp lift. Diners will be able to take their pick of organic, market-fresh menu items that are locally sourced when available, such as fresh salads, roasted chicken or pork loin served on a French baguette sandwich, or wild mushroom pizza with fontina cheese and white truffle oil. There will also be a wide selection of comfort food and health conscious items to please every member of the family.Whether it’s serving lunch to skiers who are starved from a morning of carving turns or hosting a mountain-top wedding in summertime, Elk Camp adds a new dimension to the on-mountain experience at Snowmass. Indoor seating for up to 250 guests, another 150 seats are available outside on the decks. Add Your Review December 22, 2012 Overall Rating:  we skied yesterday to check out the new Elk Camp restaurant - wow, for the first time I am impressed with a Ski Co effort with a restaurant. The design is excellent with views of the mountains, action and everything seems in the right place - a bar looking up the mountain with a fireplace, couches and chairs to rest and warm up, fun murals and photos on the wall, gorgeous ceiling, great outside deck, and best of all the food is good! It's all the things I had hoped they would do at Sam's Knob...and they didn't. The only negative I have heard is that the food is too pricey - even for a couple...but, imagine a family. For instance, a very small round pizza is $10 and $12 if they customize it at all. Seems to me that 7.95 for that size would have been good. Fair prices bring repeat business and happy people...especially when the food and atmosphere are good
January 25, 2012 Overall Rating: Nice place, but very poorly managed. Kitchen setup makes for unnecessarily long lines. Staff stands around waiting for the line to progress. Overpriced, but that is expected on the mountain. I just ask for better service given the cost.
